Oregon Pacific District welcomes Mario and Ana Zani as new Hispanic coordinators
Friday, February 22, 2008
Salem, Oregon
Mario and Ana Zani have accepted the invitation to become Hispanic coordinators in the Oregon Pacific District.
District Superintendent Jim Healy states, “We are deeply grateful that the Zanis are joining our team to help us start new Hispanic ministries. They will train and equip pastors to lead strong, healthy Hispanic churches.
“They will not only lead our Hispanic ministry on the district,” Healy added, “but will work with Pastor Kevin Donley and the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene to start a new church in that community.”
Mario Zani brings a wealth of experience and passion for this assignment, having served the church as pastor, Mexico and Central America regional director, Nazarene Theological Seminary professor of missions, South America regional literature coordinator, and, most recently, Casa Nazarena de Publicaciones (Nazarene Publishing House, Spanish literature) general editor.
The Zanis will arrive in Oregon in April, just in time to be introduced at the Nazarene Missions International Convention and the Oregon Pacific District Assembly.
