Eager new members join MVNU faculty

Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) is excited to welcome 16 new faculty members for the 2008-09 academic year. Together with current professors, they create a faculty of more than 270 (including adjuncts).

These faculty members include:
  • Karla Adu, M.S.-Assistant Professor of Nursing
  • Linda Busta, B.A.-Instructor of Spanish
  • Mary Cochran, M.A.-Assistant Professor of English
  • Michael Crawford, M.B.A.-Assistant Professor of Management
  • Debra Garee, B.S.-Teaching Assistant, School of Nursing and Health Sciences
  • Rebecca Hinch, M.S.-Assistant Professor of Education, Preschool Director
  • Tracy Peek, B.S.N.-Teaching Assistant, School of Nursing and Health Sciences
  • Scott Peterson, M.A.-University Chaplain
  • Tara Raudebaugh, B.S.N.-Teaching Assistant, School of Nursing and Health Sciences
  • Amy Rice, M.S.-Instructor of Library Science, Catalogue Librarian
  • Joe Rinehart, M.A.-Instructor of Communication
  • Kelly Rush, M.B.A.-Assistant Professor of Management
  • Lanette Sessink-M.Ed.-Associate Professor of Physical Education, Vice President for Student Development
  • Sacha Walicord, Ph.D.-Associate Professor of Economics
  • Ryan Whisler, M.B.A.-Assistant Professor of Management
  • W. Brett Wiley, Ph.D.-Assistant Professor of English
Michael Crawford commented, "I am very excited to be a part of the MVNU experience. As someone who has only heard of MVNU by reputation, I look forward to teaming with the great faculty here to continue the tradition of Christ-centered higher education. It is an honor and privilege to be part of the MVNU family."

"As a student at MVNU, I always appreciated the Christian values and character that set this university apart from so many other schools," said Karla Adu. "When I attended, the nursing program was a two-year degree. Now that it is a full baccalaureate program, I feel very privileged and excited to be teaching in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences at MVNU."
