The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who have recently gone home to be with the Lord. Notices were received from September 29-October 3, 2008.

This week we remember the respective lives and ministries of...  

Dorothy Miriam Garratt passed away September 24 in North Ryde, Australia. Garratt was the widow of Charles A. Garratt, one of the first five men ordained by H.V. Miller at the second Australia District Assembly in December 1948. (story)

Vladimir Khursin passed away October 3 in Kiev, Ukraine. He was the assistant pastor of Kiev First Church of the Nazarene. Khursin had battled a cancerous brain tumor for many months and recently suffered with infection and pneumonia. (More information to follow next week)

Anita Louise Lesley passed away September 28 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was a retired minister in the Church of the Nazarene, having served in Arkansas and Arizona. She was married to Adelbert Lesley.

Deborah Ponsford passed away September 19 in San Diego, California. She was the wife of retired elder Harold J. Ponsford. Together they served in California and Ohio.

Opal J. Zimmerlee passed away September 21 in Ferguson, Missouri. She was the wife of the late Donald J. Zimmerlee. Together they served in Ohio, Missouri, Illinois, British Isles, and Florida.
