The management of Good News Convention Centre (GNCC) in Johannesburg, South Africa, expresses words of gratitude to God in its successful launch of the Community Development Programme that focuses on small business and financial skills training.

Since its inception in July 2008, approximately 30 young men and women from the neighborhood continue to receive training in all facets of business, marketing, and labor. They also learn about tendering and how to make their own business plans.

It is most significant that the South Africa government service, SITA (State Information Technology Agency), came on board to help towards the provision of monthly stipends for each learner in the program aimed at alleviating poverty, unemployment, crime, and lack of skills for young people.

Timothy Mogorosi, manager of GNCC, said, "There is an awareness of HIV and AIDS in the young people of our communities and we are also empowering them with communication skills. We are praying to God to help us contribute positively to the lives of the young people of our church and of our country."
