2008 Statistical Report

Statistics never tell the whole story, but for the Church of the Nazarene, 2008 is summarized by:
There are 433 districts of the Church of the Nazarene around the world. Of these, 174 are Phase 3; 85 are Phase 2; and 141 are Phase 1. There are also 33 pioneer areas. The General Secretary's office provided most of these districts with services, supplies, and assistance in organizing for their annual assemblies and in reporting their work.
Total monies paid for all purposes was $946,777,409. Worldwide per capita giving was $515.28.
New ministers credentialed were 260 elders in the U.S. and Canada; and 355 in other world areas. An additional 28 elders had their credentials recognized and there were 21 new deacons ordained in 2008.

- 16,209 organized churches, a 5.53 percent net gain
- 1,837,393 members (1,655,685 full and 181,679 associate members), a 5.98 percent gain
- 156,525 new Nazarenes
