NBC Board of Trustees votes to establish Center for Ethical Leadership
Colorado Springs, Colorado
Wednesday, October 28, 2009
At its September meeting, the Board of Trustees of Nazarene Bible College (NBC) voted to approve plans calling for the establishment of the Center for Ethical Leadership at NBC. The establishment of this center affirms the purpose of NBC, which is "to glorify Jesus Christ as Lord by preparing adults to evangelize, disciple, and minister to the world," and expands the fulfillment of that purpose.
The Center for Ethical Leadership is an outgrowth of the leadership and ethics program at NBC, which was started four years ago. The mission of the program is to propagate ethical leadership through the advancement of profound knowledge, passionate spirituality, and ethical conduct. In developing the Center for Ethical Leadership, NBC seeks to be the preferred provider of leadership theory and implementation tools for Nazarene ministers globally and Christian ministries at large in Colorado Springs.
In order to fulfill this vision, the Center for Ethical Leadership will provide forums for the exploration and implementation of ethical leadership theories and practices. The center's operation team will consider appropriate strategies such as round table discussions, public seminars, skill training, mentoring, coaching, online components, and regular communication networks.
