The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who have recently gone home to be with the Lord. Notices were received from December 19, 2009 - January 7, 2010.
Ballard Belcher, 73, of Flatwoods, Kentucky, passed away December 20. He was a licensed minister on the Eastern Kentucky District. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Belcher.
Bob Bollinger passed away January 6. He was the father of Larry Bollinger, director of Nazarene Compassionate Ministries International. A memorial service will tentatively take place January 16 in Concord, New Hampshire. More information will be posted when it is available/confirmed.
Katherine S. Corron, 59, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away December 25. She was serving as an associate pastor at Benton First Church of the Nazarene at the time of her passing. She is survived by her husband, Russell E. Corron.
Evelyn M. Crane of Howell, Michigan, passed away December 28. She was the widow of Earl M. Crane, a minister in the Church of the Nazarene who served in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Illinois. Earl M. Crane passed away in 1988.
Glen G. Dayton of Great Bend, Kansas, passed away December 20. He was a retired minister in the Church of the Nazarene, serving in Nebraska, South Dakota, Kansas, and Iowa. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carmen Drayton, who passed away in 2002.
Harold D. Fleshman of Aurora, Colorado, passed away December 29. He was a retired minister in the Church of the Nazarene, serving in Illinois, Kansas, and Colorado. He is survived by his wife, Wilma Fleshman.
Edith (Boone) Galloway, 94, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away December 27. She was the widow of Claude W. Galloway, a minister in the Church of the Nazarene who served in Tennessee and Mississippi. Claude W. Galloway passed away in 1994.
Marion O. Guy of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, passed away January 6. He was a retired minister in the Church of the Nazarene, serving in Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Guy, who passed away in 1996.
Martha L. Hendon, 81, of Russellville, Alabama, passed away December 22. She was the wife of Douglas W. Hendon, a retired minister in the Church of the Nazarene who served in Alabama, Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Florida.
Doris Hibberd, 78, of Middleton, Idaho, passed away January 4. She was the wife of Ray E. Hibberd, a retired minister in the Church of the Nazarene who served in California and Idaho.
Donald Jeffrey Hitt, 57, of Pine Mountain, Alabama, passed away November 14. He was a minister in the Church of the Nazarene, serving on the Alabama North District. Hitt previously served as pastor of the Beulah, Alabama, Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda S. Hitt.
Earle T. Hollett, 79, of Bon Aqua, Tennessee, passed away December 25. He was a retired minister in the Church of the Nazarene, serving in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, Florida, and Tennessee. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Hollett.
Charles L. Irwin, 80, of McMurray, Pennsylvania, passed away December 28. He was the husband of Jennifer S. Irwin, a minister in the Church of the Nazarene serving on the Pittsburgh District. Charles was preceded in death by his first wife, Clara L. Irwin.
Michael D. Jeffers, 42, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away December 23. He was a layman in the Muncie Southside Church of the Nazarene, where he served on the church board and was Youth Council president. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Jeffers.
Alice Keim of Royersford, Pennsylvania, passed away December 18. She was the wife of Kenneth T. Keim, a retired minister in the Church of the Nazarene who served in Pennsylvania.
Virginia Land, 84, of Nacagdoches, Texas, passed away December 29. She was the wife of H. Leroy Land, a retired minister in the Church of the Nazarene who served in Texas and Arkansas.
Janet McCabe of Milton, West Virginia, passed away January 6. She was the wife of Gay E. McCabe Sr., a retired minister in the Church of the Nazarene who served in West Virginia.
Joyce Ann (Steiner) McGraw, 54, of Orange, Texas, passed away December 26. She was the wife of Bruce A. McGraw, worship pastor at Orange First Church of the Nazarene.
Caroline McKinney, 75, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away December 30. She was the widow of Marvin L. McKinney, a former minister in the Church of the Nazarene who served in Missouri, Illinois, and Kansas. Marvin L. McKinney passed away in 1994.
Mary Beth (Schnitzler) Moss, 94, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away December 30. She was the widow of Erban B. Moss, a former minister in the Church of the Nazarene. Erban B. Moss passed away in 1981.
Ernest W. Owens, 80, of Fountain City, Indiana, passed away December 19. He was an unassigned minister on the Indianapolis District who previously served as pastor of the Liberty, Indiana, Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife, Florine Owens.
Zelma F. Rothman of Saint Joseph, Michigan, passed away December 23. She was a retired minister in the Church of the Nazarene and the widow of William E. Rothman, also a retired minister in the church. The Rothmans served together in Indiana and Michigan. William E. Rothman passed away in 1999.
Brooksie N. Rutherford, 84, of Tullahoma, Tennessee, passed away December 21. She was the widow of Robert G. Rutherford, a former minister and evangelist in the Church of the Nazarene who served in Florida and Tennessee. Robert G. Rutherford passed away in 2000.
S.R. Sambargikar of Washim, India, passed away recently. He served as medical superintendent for the (Nazarene) Reynolds Memorial Hospital in India.
Dora H. (Payne) Warwick-Daily, 103, of Glasgow, West Virginia, passed away November 30. She was the widow of T. Howard Warwick, a minister in the Church of the Nazarene who passed away in 1974. Dora was also preceded in death by her second husband, Paul C. Daily, who passed away in 1994.
