This week's praise reports and prayer requests from Nazarene Missions
International, JESUS Film Harvest Partners, and NCN News include:
PRAISES
JESUS Film - Argentina
"She had no desire to live," said a team member in Argentina. "The owner of the house where we showed the JESUS Film is an old lady who was bedridden and depressed. Her name is Eva. After ministering to her with the word of God, she gave her testimony and said before she had no desire to live but now she sat up in her wheelchair and began to move around. Her spirit is renewed."
JESUS Film - Dominican Republic
"Many people visited the church," said a team member in the Dominican Republic. "The JESUS Film has been a blessing to the community. As the people watch the film, God touches them. Many want to know more about Jesus and begin to attend church."
JESUS Film - Sudan
"He is our bread," said a viewer in Sudan. "We have not been able to harvest food for two years," said the team member. "God is good and we continue to see His power as He is moving in a mighty way. Following one JESUS Film showing, an old man prayed saying, 'God gives us hope for the future. Even if we have no food, He is our bread.' Such a hope is only through Jesus."
Radio Partnership
Praise the Lord for the partnership of World Mission Broadcast (WMB) South America and World Mission Broadcast Africa to produce a new radio program called Dje da zu? (What's Next?). The program will be in the Fang (pronounced "fawn") language and is planned to air in Equatorial Guinea. Equatorial Guinea is the only Spanish speaking country in Africa and has just three FM radio stations. Pray for Daniel Esono, the program's host, and the WMB teams as they produce the new program and that listeners will hear and receive God's saving grace. (NMI)
HEALTH-RELATED PRAYER REQUESTS
Cornelius Diaz
Please pray for Cornelius Diaz who has been hospitalized with complications related to chronic kidney disease. Pray for God's healing touch. He is the husband of Ana Maria Crocker de Diaz, Mexico/Central America regional NMI coordinator, Global NMI Council members, and brother-in-law of Gustavo Crocker, Eurasia regional director. (NMI)
Frank Mills
Please continue to pray for Frank Mills, superintendent of the Ghana North District. He remains hospitalized and is being treated for acute renal failure and a blood clot in his leg. Please pray for God's healing touch on Frank. (NMI)
Rev. Chalema
Continued prayer is requested for Rev. Chalema, superintendent of the Malawi Central District, as he recovers from a stroke. He is improving and able to walk short distances.
GLOBAL CONCERNS
Haiti
Haiti will be in the recovery and rebuilding process for years. Please continue to lift the Haitian people in prayer. Pray for children who are now orphans. Pray for parents who have lost their children. Pray for the families that have been displaced and now call a "tent city" their home. Pray also for the safety of aid workers and that assistance reaches those in need. The church of the Nazarene in Haiti is strong and comprised of more than 115,000 members. Pray for Haitian Nazarenes as they gather to worship, that they will encounter the Lord in a mighty way. To keep in touch with how the Church of the Nazarene is responding to the crisis in Haiti, visit www.ncm.org/haitiearthquake. (NMI)
Nepal and Bangladesh Cold Wave
Continue to pray for those suffering from the current cold wave in Bangladesh and Nepal. (NMI)
