GMC Flags of the Nations: Ghana
Tuesday, November 13, 2012
Global Ministry Center
Since September 1, 2009, the Church of the Nazarene's Global Ministry Center (GMC) proudly flies a flag each week of one of the many nations in which the denomination is present in ministry. Leaders were invited to send a national flag to be flown at the GMC alongside the flag of the United States*. The national flags rotate weekly, and photos of them raised are sent to the church leaders of that country.
This week: Ghana
The Church of the Nazarene officially entered Ghana in 1990.
Ghana had a population of 24,791,073 in 2011. That same year, Ghana reported 98 Churches of the Nazarene, 31 of which had been officially organized. Ghana has 6,565 total members.
Ghana is on the Africa Region. It has three Phase 1 districts.
