Good Friday baptism in Asia

On Good Friday, April 2, seven individuals from a house church in an Asian city followed Christ's command and were baptized in an outdoor ceremony. The service took place at a private residence and was attended by nearly 90 friends, mostly students from the nearby university. Although most of those in attendance were pre-believers, they had seen a change in the lives of their friends and wanted to witness this special occasion.

God's hand was clearly seen in providing a place for the baptism service. Since religious functions like this cannot be held outside, the mission team searched for another option. When the team approached an international Nazarene couple working in this city about hosting the event, they enthusiastically agreed. Their private pool was an ideal setting for this very significant occasion.

Five of the seven individuals baptized are university students from a country considered closed to the gospel. They have become followers of Jesus within the past year.

Prayer is requested for the outreach to university students in this city.
