San Diego, California
On Saturday, June 5, PLNU students will join other volunteer groups from around San Diego as part of the Summer 2010 FaceLift project.

From 8 A.M. to 2 P.M. volunteers will work on beautification projects that include landscaping, building fences, and painting 12-15 homes in a low-income neighborhood of City Heights.

Over the past 15 years, 5,000 FaceLift volunteers have helped approximately 17,000 people clean and beautify their houses. This event marks the 15th neighborhood that FaceLift has helped in City Heights.

FaceLift is funded by the City of San Diego Redevelopment Agency with support from the City Heights Project Area Committee and Councilmember Todd Gloria. Other financial sponsors include State Farm, The Home Depot, CDC Small Business Loans, City Heights Town Council, and Point Loma Nazarene University.
