The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who have recently gone home to be with the Lord. Notices were received from July 26-30, 2010.

Doris L. Adkins of Branson, Missouri, passed away July 5. She was the widow of Mervin G. Adkins, a former minister and evangelist in the Church of the Nazarene who served in Indiana and Iowa. Mervin G. Adkins passed away in 1999.

Nelson B. Allen
of Mowrystown, Ohio, passed away July 24. He was a former minister and evangelist in the Church of the Nazarene, serving in Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Allen.

Donald R. Baxter of El Dorado, Arkansas, passed away July 28. He was a retired minister in the Church of the Nazarene, serving in Texas and Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Baxter, who passed away in 2006.

John E. Damon of Harvey, North Dakota, passed away July 23. He was a retired minister in the Church of the Nazarene, serving in Iowa and North Dakota. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Damon.

Robert L. Durr Sr., 93, of Henderson, Texas, passed away July 21. He was a former minister in the Church of the Nazarene, ordained in the Louisiana District. He is survived by his wife, Virginia R. Durr. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bertha Lee Stewart Durr, who passed away in 1985.

Gary Lynn Martin, 72, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away July 23. A member of the Carthage, Missouri, Church of the Nazarene, he served as executive director of the Joplin District Nazarene Layman's Retreat for 32 years. He is survived by his wife, Connie Sue (Turner) Martin.

Ralph H. Mattingly of Rising Fawn, Georgia, passed away July 27. He was a retired minister in the Church of the Nazarene, serving in Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. He is survived by his wife, Audie Mattingly.

Ellen McMahon of Sacramento, California, passed away July 28. She was the widow of William A. McMahon, a former minister in the Church of the Nazarene who served in New Mexico and California. William A. McMahon passed away in 2006.

John L. Yoder of Eugene, Oregon, passed away July 25. He was a former minister in the Church of the Nazarene, serving in Iowa, Louisiana, Georgia, and Colorado. He is survived by his wife, Laurel Yoder.
