Chick-fil-A president visits SNU

Chick-fil-A President and COO Dan Cathy spoke in chapel Tuesday at Southern Nazarene University.

Cathy had students laughing with his sense of humor and wit, but also was serious and shared with students about going the extra mile. He referenced Matthew 5:41, “If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles.” He encouraged students to make the second mile second nature.

“I really enjoyed chapel. Dan Cathy was very engaging and connected with the crowd,” freshman Jessica Bowie said.

Cathy is not only a businessman, but a family and church man as well. When he’s not at Chick-fil-A, Cathy can be found with his family, practicing his trumpet, or teaching a junior and senior Sunday School class at his home church.
