The release of a new music video at Trevecca Nazarene University illustrates one of Trevecca’s branding messages — “You are part of a bigger story: We teach that.”
On Thursday, May 17, Trevecca’s Office of Admissions released that new music video, A Call to Worship. This new production is a student production on several levels: the song was written by two commercial music students — Emy Smith and Hamil Rich; the song was recorded by Refuge, one of Trevecca’s public relations teams, in the Trevecca studio; and the video was filmed and edited by Trevecca communication students.
This song won a competition conducted by the Office of Admissions staff earlier this year. Students could submit original songs and the winning song would be used in a new music video by Refuge. Many students responded, and “A Call to Worship” was the winner. The music video was filmed outdoors on Trevecca’s campus with members of the campus community watching and participating.
