National Black Nazarene Conference
Monday, June 18, 2012
Atlanta, Georgia
The 2012 National Black Nazarene Conference will take place from July 5 to 8 at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta, Georgia.
There will be several speakers: Samuel Vassel, pastor of Bronx Bethany Church of the Nazarene; Eugenio Duarte, Church of the Nazarene general superintendent; Butler By'not'e, Nu Nazion Nazarene Ministries executive director; Barbara Allen, co-pastor of Nashville Community Fellowship Church of the Nazarene; and Sharon Bowers, pastor of Randolph Avenue/Slaughter's United Methodist Church.
The youth at NBNC will be collecting non-perishable food items in keep with their theme this year of "Changing our City." Friday night, the youth will do the sorting and packing. On Saturday morning, the items will be distributed to a local pantry and another community food bank partner.
This event is a time of celebration, fellowship, and challenge for Black Nazarenes, but it is by no means designed to be exclusive. Participation is welcomed for all.
