Kansas City, Missouri
Nazarene Publishing House is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2012 with a 100-day celebration. The 100 days kicked off Wednesday, June 27, with the Midtown Service Celebration. NPH welcomed more than 200 guests from 18 different service organizations in the Midtown area of Kansas City.

NPH guests included children from Operation Breakthrough, officers from the Kansas City Police Department, adults from the Kansas City Rescue Mission, and families from Ronald McDonald House. Guests were treated to lunch, ice cream, and activities such as mini-golf, inflatable obstacle courses, manicures, and visits by representatives of local sports teams including the Kansas City Royals (Major League Baseball), Kansas City Command (Arena Football League), Sporting Kansas City (Major League Soccer), and the Kansas City T-Bones (American Association of Independent Professional Baseball).

As word of the celebration began to spread, Nazarene Publishing House was also able to serve meals and provide a place to escape from 100 degree temperatures for many of the homeless people in the area.

City council members recognized NPH with a congratulatory proclamation. They declared June 27, 2012, "as a day to honor Nazarene Publishing House throughout the city of Kansas City, Missouri."

Nazarene Publishing House plans to continue the 100-day celebration with giveaways to equip local churches and individuals, by giving employees the opportunity to volunteer with service organizations - both locally and around the world, and by inviting churches worldwide to take part in a day of service on October 6.
