Following the positive response to last year’s open enrollment for supplemental group term life insurance, Pensions and Benefits USA and Aetna are extending the offer again. For a limited time, qualified ministers may purchase $10,000 ($5,000 in spouse coverage) in group term life insurance for as little as $3.60 annually, without proof of health (rate shown is for persons under the age of 25 as of 1/1/2013). Details and rates may be found here.
This limited offer is available from July 1 through September 30, 2012, to qualified Nazarene ministers and spouses under the age of 49 years as of January 1, 2013, who have not been denied coverage since January 1, 2009.
Pensions and Benefits USA provides a basic amount of life insurance for qualified U.S. ministers, but this coverage might not be enough if a husband or wife dies unexpectedly.
“Supplemental group term life insurance provides important, affordable protection for young ministerial families,” said Don Walter, director of Pensions and Benefits USA. “We all hope it will never be needed, but it’s a blessing to have it if the unexpected happens. The coverage afforded by this open enrollment could make a huge difference in the quality of life of survivors.”
Those wanting more information may watch this presentation, or participate in a webinar with representatives from Aetna and P&B USA on September 21 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. (Central). To enroll, phone 866-692-3580 (toll-free) and use the participant code 4675872.
