Rocky Mountain District elects new DS

The Board of General Superintendents announced that Bill T. Carr was elected district superintendent for the Rocky Mountain District. 

With General Superintendent Jerry D. Porter presiding, Carr was elected on the first ballot on June 28. His new assignment will begin in September.

Carr has served as the Upstate New York district superintendent since 2004. Prior to his role as a district superintendent, Carr served as Kansas City assistant district superintendent. He has pastored six churches across the U.S. in Colorado, California, Louisiana, Texas, Florida, and Missouri, and was previously a youth pastor in California and Oklahoma.

He earned his bachelor's degree in religion at Bethany Nazarene College (now Southern Nazarene University), and his Master's degree at Trevecca Nazarene College (now University).

Carr and his wife, Janet, have three children and five grandchildren.
