NYC 2011: A look back
Friday, July 13, 2012
Global Ministry Center
One year ago, more than 6,000 Nazarene youth and sponsors gathered in Louisville, Kentucky, for the USA/Canada Nazarene Youth Conference 2011, focusing on the theme “A World Unbroken.” The week included worship, speakers, fellowship, community service, and changed lives.
One year later, many continue to stay in contact in order to love and support each other through the NYC 2011 Facebook page and a student-initiated group called “Un-Broken Nazaraniacs.” Members regularly share prayer requests and testimonies of how NYC changed their lives and how it is continuing to make a difference even a year later. The stories and testimonies shared are clear evidence that students and adults left NYC 2011 changed.
In honor of this one year mark, the last message, focusing on the theme "Restore," is now available to view and download through the Nazarene Media Library. This Sunday morning session with speaker General Superintendent David W. Graves focused on the idea of being fully restored to right relationship with God.
Though NYC 2015 is still a few years away, the Nazarene Youth International office said prayers are already being lifted up in faith that the Lord will once again move in a mighty way among the youth in the USA/Canada region.
