Global Ministry Center
By NCN News Staff
Each month, the Global Mission Team meets to discuss matters related to the mission shared by every member of the Church of the Nazarene: "To Make Christlike Disciples in the Nations." General Superintendent Eugenio R. Duarte opened the July meeting with a devotional, followed by a time of prayer.

Global Mission Team members at the Church of the Nazarene’s Global Ministry Center are presently praying about the following:
  • Missing clergypersons from a sensitive region*
  • Personal sacrifices by dedicated workers
  • Ever-present danger faced by some servants of the gospel
  • Preparations for General Assembly 2013
  • Close relationships that are needed to produce effective disciple-makers
  • While the monthly budget update reveals a slight increase in income, the mission of God is dependent on the generous giving of every member.
Global Mission Team members are rejoicing over the following:
  • There are presently 449 JESUS Film teams
  • One country wants an additional 100 JESUS Film teams
  • Successful Mission Immersion event conclusion in Africa
  • Good things are happening in the regions and exciting synergies are being formed
  • Nazarene Foundation secured $500,000 in charitable gift annuities to extend ministry
  • More than 400 people attended the NPH centennial picnic, and positive community impact was generated.
  • The nomination process for the next Nazarene Publishing House president and preparations for the subsequent General Board election are in full swing.
Future calendar events GMT members are working on:
  • Dan Copp (Clergy Development/International Board of Education) reported Nazarene Theological Seminary will be hosting Global Graduate Schools in partnership with IBOE.
  • Larry Bollinger (Nazarene Compassionate Ministries) and the NCM team are prepping for an event focusing on child development in Asia.
