Idaho volunteers deliver needed equipment to team in Peru
Thursday, August 23, 2012
Peru, South America Region
A team from Idaho recently delivered a set of solar-powered backpack equipment and some EvangeHats to a JESUS film team in Peru. The following story was shared by Chandi, one of the JESUS Film Harvest Partners Ministry Trip participants:
While the team from Idaho was in Peru less than two weeks, the tools they left behind have eternal implications.
“Thank you so much for providing the tools,” said Chandi, referring to those who have donated to help fund new sets of equipment and resources. “It was an amazing experience to watch Sammie’s passion and see so many people come to the kingdom of heaven. Thank you again!”

Sammie grabbed one of the multi-colored hats and started preaching about the salvation colors. The dark color (grey or black) represents our spiritual darkness — the sin in our lives. Red reminds us of Christ’s love and the shedding of his blood for the forgiveness of sins. White indicates the cleansing of sins. Yellow represents God in heaven and the ability to have a personal relationship with the creator. Finally, green signifies the new growth experienced by believers in Christ.
As Sammie shared this simple message, the hearts of people were stirred and 16 individuals accepted Jesus as their savior.
JESUS Film Harvest Partners teams share the love of Christ in a variety of ways. The salvation colors are used on soccer balls, baseballs, hats, scarves, and other items. While the team from Idaho was in Peru less than two weeks, the tools they left behind have eternal implications.
