Burundi, Africa Region
In the pioneer district of Burundi, the JESUS film is used alongside traditional evangelism and church planting programs.

District Advisory Board Secretary Ntibarwambariye John Bosco, a JESUS Film coordinator, and District Superintendent Ntahobari Luc recently went to a town near Nyanza Lake in the province of Makamba, about 200 kilometers (124 miles) from the capital, Bujumbura.

"The week of October 20 was a blessing on our district," Luc said. "We showed the film for two days and 1,000 people came to see it."

About 200 people accepted Christ and 60 people came to the follow-up meeting.

The leaders also recognized a preaching point as a local church during the weekend. The church is pastored by Nibinkoreye Gerchon and his wife, Jeanine Cebwa. It has 45 members.

The pastors are both are students at Nazarene Theological Institute and teach government in primary schools. They have two children.
