Trinidad & Tobago District organizes new church
Wednesday, December 12, 2012
Palmyra, San Fernando
The Church of the Nazarene's Trinidad and Tobago District organized a new church, the El Bethel Community Church of the Nazarene, in Palmyra, San Fernando, on Sunday, December 9. This is the 28th Church of the Nazarene on the Trinidad and Tobago District and one of the newest churches in the denomination.
District Superintendent Victor George commended co-pastors Farouk and Vilma Mohammed and the district's newest members for embracing the church’s mission to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ with a special emphasis on scriptural holiness. He welcomed them to the global Church of the Nazarene family with a prayer that God would equip them with everything good for doing His will.
Following the organization ceremony, the Mohammeds installed the new church board. Junior and Joshua Mohammed (the pastors’ sons) led the assembly in praise and worship, and Farouk Mohammed reminded the assembly that God is doing a good work.
