MidAmerica Nazarene University student Michael Fast had the time of his life as he helped his summer employer at Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans.

The junior accounting major worked at Radio Resource near Denver for three summers. In October, his boss called to ask if he would like to work with them the week before the Super Bowl and during the game.

"I couldn’t refuse," Fast said. "I’m not sure how they got the contract, but I know they have been doing it for many years."

Fast said his job was to set up radio equipment and make sure it was working for the game. He also got to participate in media day the Tuesday before the game.

After graduation Fast plans to become a certified public accountant and work for a public accounting firm.

"Eventually I would like to go back and get my MBA," Fast said. "I am open to where the Lord leads me and His plans for me."

Fast was excited and grateful for the opportunity to work at the Super Bowl.

"Not very many people get to say they get to go to the Super Bowl, let alone be on the field during the game," he said. "I thank God for this opportunity and pray my work will bring Him glory."
