The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received March 4-8, 2013.
Dalene (Stephens) Barnett, 69, of Hermitage, Tennessee, passed away on March 5. She was the wife of retired minister Douglas A. Barnett, who served in Virginia, Tennessee, Michigan, and Illinois.
Grace Berryhill, 85, of Lincoln City, Oregon, passed away on March 4. She was the widow of retired minister Noble E. Berryhill, who served in Oregon. Noble E. Berryhill passed away in 1987.
Frances J. (Dowell) Bohannan, 69, of Enid, Oklahoma, passed away on February 6. She was the wife of retired minister Grady B. Bohannan, who served in Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Mississippi.
Margaret Ardith Broadbooks passed away on March 3. She was the mother of Church of the Nazarene USA/Canada Regional Director Bob Broadbooks.
Ruth E. (Drake) Conklin, 87, of Xenia, Ohio, passed away on March 1. She was the widow of retired minister Victor C. Batemen, who served in Virginia and Florida. Victor C. Batemen passed away in 1995. Ruth is survived by her second husband, Roger H. Conklin.
Leona (Smith) Golliher, 91, of Temple City, California, passed away on March 2. She was a retired missionary, serving in Peru. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Golliher, who passed away in 2006. Clyde was a retired minister and missionary, also serving in California and Peru. (story)
Howard F. Groves, 86, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on February 23. He was a retired minister, serving in New Mexico, Texas, and Indiana. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Groves.
Verna (Davidson) Ketcherside, 92, of Verona, Virginia, passed away on March 5. She was the widow of retired minister Leonard A. Ketcherside, who served in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, and North Carolina. Leonard A. Ketcherside passed away in 2007.
Merttie (Calloway) Radcliff, 81, of Irvington, Alabama, passed away on February 28. She was the wife of retired minister Harry F. Radcliff, who served in Alabama.
Willard Simpson, 83, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on February 20. He was a minister, serving in Ohio, Alabama, Texas, Michigan, and Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Irene M. Simpson, in 1991, and is survived by his wife, Shirley A. Simpson.
