Over the last month, the Asia-Pacific Region has seen the first major Bible quiz tournament in Korea as well as the first district quiz at Otara in New Zealand, reports Dan Reinhart, global NYI Bible quiz trainer.

The first Korea Nazarene Bible Quiz tournament was held on January 30 at Korea Nazarene University. Seven churches participated and quizzed over the Book of James. Congratulations go to Cheonan So Mang Church (First place), Nam Seoul Church (Second place), and Deung Ma Roo Church and Ju An Church (Third place). Other churches who also participated in this exciting tournament were Joong Church, Kwon Kwan Church, and Dream Church.

Attendees reported it was an amazing and interesting time. From the Korean Quiz, it has been decided to host Quiz Master trainings to enable tournaments to take place at the zone level.

Two weeks after the Korea Bible Quiz tournament, the New Zealand District hosted their first district quiz that involved four churches. They quizzed over the first three chapters of Luke. District Youth Pastor Kris Van Bibber reports: "I am proud to say they did a fantastic job and really knew the material. There were some that were jumping before I finished asking the question and finished it with the correct answer."

Nazarene Bible Quizzing continues to grow and help make disciples in the nations. To learn more about Youth Bible Quizzing, please visit www.nyiquiz.org.
