NCN News has learned that General Superintendent J. K. Warrick, Field Strategy Coordinator Bill Dawson, his wife, Martha, and Nazarene volunteer Rachel Reed were moved from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, at approximately 6:45 P.M. Eastern Standard Time Wednesday. All had flown into Haiti to attend district assemblies. They boarded an aircraft provided by a missions aviation service and landed around 11 P.M. in South Florida.

This information was confirmed by General Secretary David P. Wilson.

Wilson expressed appreciation for the prayers of Nazarenes, and urged continuing prayer for the people of Haiti, including the many Nazarenes in Haiti who continue to coordinate relief efforts. Also, local churches - those that are able - have been providing immediate care and relief in the wake of this disaster. Relief efforts are being coordinated through Nazarene Compassionate Ministries-Caribbean.
