Trevecca Nazarene University is pleased to announce a major gift for a new building that will house the Alumni Center, Office of the President, and Office of External Relations.
The anonymous gift commitment of $450,000 brings the total amount pledged and received for this new building to approximately $1,000,000 (U.S. dollars). These gifts enable the university to move ahead with an exciting project that provides hospitality and event space for university alumni and guests, as well as the offices that support these functions. The building, which will echo the style of the original stone academic buildings, will be located at the corner of Lester Avenue and Woodard Street, diagonally across from Waggoner Library.
According to Peg Cooning, vice president for External Relations, Trevecca anticipates receiving additional gifts for this significant public building which will enable the university to remember the generations that built Trevecca into an influential national university.
"This gift comes as an expression of confidence in the growth and direction of Trevecca," said Trevecca President Dan Boone. "As Trevecca makes a difference in the world, we will find friends who believe in this university. That is the storyline of this gift."
