At the eleventh General Conference of The Wesleyan Church in Orlando, Florida, delegates passed an official resolution to recognize and congratulate the Church of the Nazarene on its Centennial. The Church of the Nazarene will reach its 100th anniversary in October, with October 5 set as the Centennial Celebration Sunday. read more

A bus carrying junior high students from the Olathe, Kansas College Church of the Nazarene was involved in a fatal accident en route to Arlington, Texas on Saturday, June 21. No students were injured. read more

England’s New Hope rehab center restores life

For more than eight years, the Church of the Nazarene in Leeds, England, has been supporting a daily drug and alcohol addiction recovery center. Program Director Alistair Park shares in an interview with Eurasia Communications about what he calls “a people ministry, reaching out with compassion and love to ordinary people who have problems of addiction.” read more

Belize Nazarenes help in disaster aid after Tropical Storm Arthur
The 2008 hurricane season had not even officially started when Tropical Storm Arthur hit Belize on Saturday, May 31. Arthur dumped as much as 15 inches of rain on the country, especially in the southern area of Belize in the Stann Creek district. Helping in relief efforts were Nazarenes from surrounding communities, as well as a group from an Oklahoma church. read more

Using Lazarian Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) polystyrene foam blocks, which are inexpensive and eco-friendly, Lazarian teams are building homes, classrooms, churches, and community buildings. read more
