James H. Diehl, jurisdictional general superintendent for the Eurasia Region, recently made his last tour of the region for district assemblies and ordination rallies. Trevecca honors Jim Foglesong
Jim Foglesong, director of Trevecca's Music Business Program and Country Music Hall of Fame member, was recognized by Trevecca Nazarene University as "distinguished professor," a title bestowed only two other times in the 108-year history of the university. Many of the artists that Foglesong helped launch joined in the events of the day, including Barbara Mandrell, Reba McEntire, and Duane Allen and Richard Sterban of the Oak Ridge Boys. read more
Going tray-less: PLNU's new water conservation plan
Point Loma Nazarene University is going even greener. Thanks to PLNU's Student Government Association, as of April 14, PLNU's cafeteria has discontinued its use of trays. This change is meant to help the campus conserve energy and water usage. read more

NNU senior business majors score in top five percentile
Northwest Nazarene University senior business majors scored in the top five percentile in a nationally administered test designed to examine students' knowledge in the field of business. "The Business Major Field Test is a difficult exam," said School of Business Dean Ron Galloway. "Many schools only test their top graduating students; however, NNU tests all graduating business majors. Their outstanding performance is evidence of the dedication and commitment of our students and professors." read more

Lady Trojan golfers win conference title for fifth straight year
Trevecca Nazarene University won the 2009 TranSouth Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championship for the fifth year in a row this week and will now advance to the NAIA national championship tournament for the first time in their program's history. In the process, Trevecca's Ashley Birdwell earned Tournament Medalist honors and was named TranSouth Freshman of the Year. Trevecca's coach, Michael Johnson, was named TranSouth Coach of the Year for the fifth consecutive season. (Slideshow) read more
